1. How do I top up my ShopeePay balance?
You can top up your ShopeePay balance with the following payment methods:
- Credit / Debit card
- Maybank2u
- Cash Payment at Convenience Store
- Online Banking
To top up your ShopeePay balance:
Step 1: Click on Top Up
Step 2: Input or Select Top Up Amount
Step 3: Select Payment Method
Step 4: Click on Pay Now
Step 5: Click on OK
Your ShopeePay balance will reflect the top-up amount immediately after payment is verified. You can contact us via the channels at the bottom of the page if you don’t see your topped-up balance reflected within 1 day.
A payment issue has likely occurred if you encounter problems with topping up your ShopeePay balance. Kindly contact us via the channels at the bottom of the page using the Transaction ID. You can find it by following the steps on how to select the failed top-up transaction:
Step 1: Go to the History tab
Step 2: Click on the Failed transaction
Step 3: Click on Copy
Auto Top-Up
Set up auto top-up to ensure that you’ll always have sufficient funds in your ShopeePay account:
Step 1: Go to the Me tab
Step 2: Click on Settings
Step 3: Click on Auto Top-Up Settings
Step 4: Set Balance Amount that will trigger the auto top-up
Step 5: Enter Top Up Amount
Step 6: Select Payment Method
Step 7: Choose your Payment Method
Step 8: Click on CONFIRM
Step 9: Click on SAVE
Step 10: Toggle On Auto Top Up
2. How do I transfer money to another ShopeePay user?
You may initiate a transfer to another ShopeePay user via one of the following:
1. Contact: Select a ShopeePay user by searching through your contacts
Step 1: Click on Transfer
Step 2: Click on Contact
Step 3: Enter the recipient’s Name or Contact Number
Step 4: Select the Recipient
Step 5: Enter the Transfer Amount
Step 6: Click on Next
Step 7: Click on Transfer Now
2. Scan: Request your ShopeePay recipient to present their ShopeePay DuitNow QR
Step 1: Click on Scan & Pay
Step 2: Scan the recipient’s ShopeePay DuitNow QR
Step 3: Enter the Transfer Amount
Step 4: Click on Next
Step 5: Click on Transfer Now
Step 6: Enter your ShopeePay PIN
3. Can I transfer money with ShopeePay to another eWallet or bank?
ShopeePay is integrated with the DuitNow payment system, allowing you to make payments to other digital wallets and banks that are also connected to the DuitNow payment rails. This means you can conveniently send money to other users or make transactions with ease across different platforms within the DuitNow network.
4. Is there a limit set for using ShopeePay?
Your ShopeePay wallet holding and transaction limits are determined by the verification level of your account, as outlined in the table below. Daily Transaction limits include your top-up, order payment, transfer to other users, refunds, offline payments and withdrawals.

- If you’ve previously verified your account but still have a wallet limit of RM 4,999, you need to verify your account again to upgrade to the RM 9,999 limit.
- By verifying your ShopeePay account, you can fully leverage the platform’s capabilities and enjoy a seamless, secure, and enhanced digital payment experience.
- Users with older mobile device operating systems may not be able to perform the latest e-KYC process and may be limited to the RM 4,999 wallet limit. Ensure your device is updated to the latest operating system to access the full benefits.

5. Are there fees for sending or receiving money?
There are no additional fees for sending and receiving money through your ShopeePay wallet.

You may pay for various bills on ShopeePay, like Postpaid bills, Water bills, Electricity bills, Local Council bills and also instalments.
The bill categories that we supported are:
- Postpaid

- Internet & Voice
- Electricity
- Water & Sewerage
- Local Council
- Etc
8. Can I schedule recurring bill payments?
We do not currently support recurring bill payments. However, we understand that this is a desired feature and are working towards supporting this in the future.
9. How do I pay with ShopeePay at an offline retail store?
When you’re purchasing at brick-and-mortar stores, look out for merchants which support ShopeePay, or merchants accepting DuitNow QR (usually presented with a pink QR). We provide 2 methods of payment to offline merchants.
Method 1: Scan the ShopeePay merchant’s QR code
Step 1: Click on Scan & Pay
Step 2: OR; Click on Transfer
Step 3: Click Scan to Send
Step 4: Scan the Merchant’s QR
Step 5: Enter the Transfer Amount
Step 6: Click on Next
Step 7: Enter your ShopeePay PIN
Method 2: Get ShopeePay merchants to scan your QR code on the ShopeePay app
Step 1: Click on Scan & Pay
Step 2: Click on Show QR Code / Barcode
Step 3: OR; Click Pay
Step 4: Enter your ShopeePay PIN
Step 5: Show the Code to the cashier
⚠️Note:
- Using other digital wallet apps aside from DuitNow QR to scan ShopeePay merchant QR codes is currently not supported.
- If your ShopeePay balance is insufficient for the payment, you will be prompted to top up your balance. Alternatively, you can ask the ShopeePay merchant if they can accept partial payments made manually between ShopeePay and another payment method.
🛠️ Troubleshooting ShopeePay issues in-store
If your ShopeePay balance gets deducted more than once during payment, you should request a refund from the merchant. Kindly contact us via the channels at the bottom of the page if the merchant is unable to do so.
