Yes. A 10% LVG tax is applied at the prevailing rate to products sold by sellers on Shopee. All prices indicated on Shopee include the LVG tax, where applicable.
Notes
- The Royal Malaysian Customs Department announced that the 10% sales tax on Low Value Goods (“LVG”) will be effective from 1 January 2024.
- Definition of LVG: Goods not exceeding RM500 sold online and imported from abroad into Malaysia will be subject to the tax and will be charged upon order confirmation from 1 January 2024.
