1. What is Allianz Travel Insurance?
Allianz Travel Insurance provides compensation to eligible insured persons travelling abroad or locally, for business or leisure. This compensation covers:

2. Which countries are covered by this Travel Insurance?
Allianz Travel Insurance covers the following domestic and overseas destinations:

3. Where am I covered?
Allianz Travel Insurance commences when you depart from your home or place of business in Malaysia to your intended destination(s). This is considered as the ‘journey’. Please ensure that your journey doesn’t start more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time as only this time frame is covered.
The travel insurance coverage ceases when one of the following takes place:
(i) Upon arrival at your final destination in Malaysia;
(ii) On the expiry of the Period of Insurance specified in the policy (whichever is earlier); or
(iii) Not more than twenty-four (24) hours after your arrival at the intended final destination in Malaysia. This is especially in the event that the journey back to the intended final destination begins or continues after the immediate expiry of the Period of Insurance.
4. What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact/personal details?

5. Can I cancel my purchase?
Yes, you may cancel your purchase at any time by contacting Shopee Customer Service via the channels below, provided that you fulfil the following criteria:

6. Does the policy cover COVID-19?
Yes, Allianz Travel Insurance provides protection against COVID-19 for the following coverage and it’s only applicable to fully vaccinated travellers.

7. Does the policy cover medical expenses for COVID-19 only?
No, it doesn’t only cover medical expenses for COVID-19 but offers a wide range of coverage, including personal accident, related medical expenses and travel inconvenience benefits, subject to policy terms and conditions.
8. What documents are required as a proof of COVID-19 diagnosis?
The COVID-19 diagnosis must be certified by a medical practitioner and supported with a copy of a medical report or lab report indicating a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19.
9. Who can purchase Travel Insurance via the Shopee platform?
All Shopee users who hold a valid NRIC and his/her spouse, child/children who also hold a valid NRIC are eligible to be covered, subject to the age limits below:
(a) From aged eighteen (18) years to sixty-five (65) years to be eligible for Traveller 1 (Main Traveller)
(b) From aged thirty (30) days to sixty-five (65) years to be eligible for Traveller 2 onwards.
Note: High-Altitude Mountaineering optional rider is only eligible for users aged eighteen (18) years up to sixty-five (65) years.
