Letter of Administration
For deceased users with active investments:
Obtain written liquidation instructions from the legal executor or court-appointed administrator.
Obtain written confirmation of the bank account details for the estate or rightful beneficiary.
Upon validation of all documents, ShopeePay will instruct iFAST to liquidate all investments and remit the net proceeds to the authorized account.
Why was my request to delete a deceased family member's account rejected?
Our primary goal is to handle these sensitive requests with both care and security. To protect the assets and data of the deceased, we require full verification. Your request may be unable to proceed for the following reasons:
Incomplete Documentation: The submission was missing one or more of the legally required documents listed in our process.
Invalid Documentation: The documents provided were expired, unclear, improperly certified, or could not be verified against our records.
Lack of Authority: The submitted documents did not sufficiently prove that the requester is the legally authorised executor or beneficiary entitled to manage the estate.
To resolve this, please review the required document checklist carefully and ensure all submitted copies are clear, valid, and demonstrate your legal authority to act on behalf of the estate.
