1. What is the Car Insurance Referral Programme?
 
The Car Insurance Referral Programme is a programme that allows users to refer their friends and family to purchase car insurance on the Shopee platform. In return, the referrer can earn a referral reward for each successful referral.
 
2. How can I become a referrer under the Car Insurance Referral Programme? 

To qualify as a referrer, you must have purchased a car insurance policy at least once on the Shopee platform. Once you've made a purchase, you will receive your own unique referral code and referral link.
 
3. How do I refer someone under the Car Insurance Referral Programme? 

As a qualified referrer, you will have an exclusive referral code and the link which you can find on the insurance homepage. Share this referral code or link with your friends and family.
 
4. What are the requirements to earn referral rewards? 

  • To be eligible for the referral rewards, the following requirements must be met:
  • Your referee must be a new user who has not purchased car insurance on the Shopee platform before;
  • Your referee must purchase the car insurance using your referral code or referral link; and
  • The referee’s car insurance policy remains effective during the verification period (i.e., 14 days after the policy start date) (“Verification Period”).
 
5. How much referral reward can I earn? 

As a referrer, you can earn a referral reward for each successful referral (which meets the requirements described in the response to Question 4). Do refer to the referral homepage for the referral reward amount.
 
6. When will I receive my referral reward? 

Once your referee has completed the purchase of the car insurance policy and the policy has become effective, you will receive the referral reward after the Verification Period. Thereafter, the referral reward will be awarded to your ShopeePay wallet. Please ensure that your ShopeePay is activated to be able to receive the reward.
 
7. What happens if the referee cancels or surrenders their policy during the Verification Period? 

If the referee cancels or surrenders their policy during the Verification Period, you will not receive the referral reward for that particular referral.
 
8. How can I track my referrals and rewards? 

To track your referrals and rewards, you can refer to the Referral landing page on the insurance homepage. This page allows you to monitor the progress of your referrals and see how many rewards you have earned.
 
9. What information is displayed on the Referral landing page? 

The Referral landing page provides the following information:
 
  • Referred: This metric shows the lifetime number of people you have referred to the programme.
  • Tracked Rewards: This metric displays the reward that is currently in progress and pending verification.
  • Lifetime Earnings: This metric represents the total lifetime reward you have received as a referrer.
    
10. What does the Referral Tracker contain? 

The Referral Tracker consists of the following two tabs:
 
  • In Progress: This tab displays all referrals that are currently under verification.
  • Completed: This tab shows all successful referrals and also includes unsuccessful referrals.
 
11. Can I refer multiple people? 

Yes, you can refer multiple people under the Car Insurance Referral Programme. For each successful referral which meets the programme's requirements, you will earn a referral reward.
