1. How do I activate the Kill Switch?
 
To access and activate the Kill Switch, follow the steps below:
 
Via ShopeePay App:
Step 1: Go to the Me page
Step 2: Tap Account and Security
Step 3: Select Kill Switch 
Step 4: Select a Reason and click Confirm 
Step 5: Click Confirm again

Via Shopee App:
Step 1: Go to the Me page and tap ShopeePay
Step 2: Tap Me to enter the ShopeePay Me page
Step 3: Tap Settings
Step 4: Select Kill Switch
Step 5: Select a Reason and click Confirm 
Step 6: Click Confirm again

2. How will I know if my Kill Switch has been activated? 

When you have activated the Kill Switch, you will receive a push notification informing you that your Kill Switch has been successfully activated. 
 
3. What should I do if I receive a push notification stating that my Kill Switch has been activated, but I did not perform this action?

If you did not perform this action, please reach out to customer support for assistance.
 
4. What happens after I activate the Kill Switch? 
 
The services below will be impacted, and you will be unable to perform relevant actions:
 

ShopeePay Wallet Services

ShopeePay Account Services 

Merchant Payments

· Top up of ShopeePay balance, including Auto Top Up

· Transfer of funds 

· Sending or receiving of ShopeePay Ang Bao

· PIN & Biometrics-related functions such as setting up and changing PIN

· Submitting eKYC

· All modes of payment via ShopeePay and SPayLater, including Linked Payment Methods

· Changing the payment method priority for Sequential Payment

 
5. Does activating the Kill Switch delete my account? 

Activating the Kill Switch will not delete your account. It is simply a measure to freeze your account by disabling any transactions or activities, helping to safeguard it against unauthorised access.
 
6. Does activating the Kill Switch affect the funds in my account? 

Activating the Kill Switch will not affect the funds in your account. However, you will not be able to use or access the funds in your account until the Kill Switch has been deactivated. 
 
7. Would I be able to view my account balance and transactions once the Kill Switch is activated? 

Yes, you will still be able to view your account balance and transactions on the ShopeePay homepage.
 
8. How can I deactivate the Kill Switch? 

To deactivate the Kill Switch, you will need to submit a request via our web form for security verification. Please refer to the steps below: 
 
Via ShopeePay App:
Step 1: Go to the Me page
Step 2: Tap Account and Security
Step 3: Select Kill Switch
Step 4: Select Reactivate ShopeePay Account. You will be redirected to a secure web form
Step 5: Fill in the required details and submit the form

Via Shopee App:
Step 1: Go to the Me page and tap ShopeePay
Step 2: Tap Me to enter the ShopeePay Me page,
Step 3: Tap the Settings
Step 4: Select Kill Switch
Step 5: Select Reactivate ShopeePay Account. You will be redirected to a secure web form
Step 6: Fill in the required details and submit the form

Note: Once you submit the form, our team will review your details to ensure your account is secure. We will only deactivate the Kill Switch once we have confirmed that there is no security risk to your account.
