[Integrated Trade-in] Step by Step Guide

Shopee’s Integrated Trade-in allows you to exchange your old device for an instant discount on your new purchase.

 ⚠️ Note
This service is currently available in Klang Valley. Look for the “Trade-in” option on product listings to identify eligible models and sellers.

Step 1: Initiate trade-in in 2 ways


Option 1: From Product Listing

  1. Select “Get a Quote” to start the trade-in process.

  2. Complete the questionnaire to get an estimated trade-in value.

  3. Select your new device model – your total checkout price will be adjusted.

  4. Read and accept the T&C to proceed to checkout.

Option 2: From Order Checkout Page

  1. Add a new device to cart and proceed to checkout.

  2. Select “Trade-in” to start the trade-in process.

  3. Complete the questionnaire to get an estimated trade-in value.

  4. Read and accept the T&C – your total checkout price will be adjusted.

Step 2: Our trade-in partner (Remobie) will contact you within 2 days via call and SMS to schedule a trade-in delivery. Delivery must be scheduled within 7 days of contact. If there is no response after 3 attempts, your order will be cancelled.

[Remobie] Order Confirmation & Trade-In Reminder 

Dear Customer, we have received your order [Order ID: MYxxx] from Shopee with a trade-in request. Please back up your data and have the device ready for collection.

We will deliver your new device and collect the trade-in device at the same time. Our team will contact you soon to confirm the delivery date.

Thank you for purchasing with Shopee and trading in with Remobie.


Step 3: Complete the following before the scheduled delivery date:

  1. Ensure your data is backed up to any cloud service or PC

  2. Perform a factory reset. Remove all screen locks/accounts (iCloud, Google)

  3. Ensure the phone powers on and can display the IMEI

Step 4: On the scheduled day, you are required to show device IMEI and a valid NRIC or Passport to the Remobie agent for verification purposes.


Step 5: Remobie’s agent will perform on-site inspection of your old device.

  • If the condition matches what was declared in the questionnaire, no top-up is required and the exchange between the old and new device will be carried out.

  • If the condition is worse than what was declared, a top-up via DuitNow is required for the difference. If you do not wish to top up, the order will be cancelled and the new device will not be delivered. To still receive the new device, you must pay the full trade-in value amount to the agent.
