1. Who will collect my trade-in device?

 

Shopee has partnered with Remobie Technologies to provide a seamless trade-in experience. Remobie will deliver your new device and collect the old device at the same time.

 

2. Which devices are eligible for trade-in?

 

Remobie accepts a wide range of brand, including:

Apple

OPPO

Google

OnePlus

Samsung

Vivo

Honor

Nothing

Huawei

Xiaomi

Realme

Sony

To check eligibility, simply search for your device during the evaluation step in the questionnaire.

3. How is my trade-in device evaluated?

Upon selecting “Get a Quote” or “Trade-in” option, you will be prompted to fill out a questionnaire covering:

  • Physical condition

  • Functionality

  • Battery health

  • Device lock status (e.g., Telco, Google/iCloud account)

You will receive an estimated trade-in value based on your answers. See Step 1 for details.

4. Is my trade-in value guaranteed? 

 

Trade-in value is subject to final inspection by Remobie. If the device condition differs from what was declared in the questionnaire, you’ll be asked to top up the difference. See Step 5 for more info.

 

5. When will I be contacted to schedule delivery?

 

Once your trade-in order is placed, Remobie will contact you within 2 days via SMS and phone call. Please ensure the correct phone number is provided in the delivery details of your order. If there is no response after 3 attempts, your order will be cancelled.

 

6. How soon do I need to schedule my trade-in delivery?

 

Delivery must be scheduled within 7 days of Remobie’s initial contact.

8. Can I backup my device/ transfer data during the exchange?

 

We recommend backing up your data in advance. Delivery may be rescheduled if the trade-in device is not backed up completely and ready for the exchange.

 

9. How long does the trade-in inspection take?

 

The on-site inspection and exchange usually takes 15–30 minutes.

 

10. I am not available. Can someone else assist with my trade-in inspection?

 

Yes, you can contact Remobie to reschedule the delivery or assign a representative. Please ensure they are able to present their identity details for verification.

 

11. What do I need to do to cancel my trade-in?

 

You can cancel your order before it is picked up. If you decide to cancel your trade-in when the Remobie agent has arrived at your location, but still wish to receive the new device, you are required to pay the full trade-in value to the agent, refer to Step 5.

 

12. Can I get my old device back after the trade-in?

 

Once delivery is completed, the device cannot be returned.

 

13. Can I return my newly purchased device in original/sealed condition?

 

No, devices purchased under the trade-in program are not returnable using "I want to return the item in original/ sealed condition" returns.
