1. What is a cooling-off period for Money+?

The cooling-off period (or cooling-off right) for Money+ refers to the timeframe during which investors may request a full refund of their first top up amount. As imposed by iFAST Capital Sdn Bhd, the cooling-off period is six (6) business days from the date of the first successful top up into Money+ by a first-time investor via the ShopeePay platform. 

⚠️Please note that the cooling-off right will cease to apply once a withdrawal request is made. This means you must not make any withdrawals or additional top ups other than the initial investment during these six business days to remain eligible for the cooling-off right. 

  • If you request a withdrawal or make another top up into Money+ within this period, your cooling-off right will automatically end. 

  • The cooling-off right applies only to your first investment and does not cover any subsequent transactions.

  • You will also lose your cooling-off right if you have made prior investments via the ShopeePay Invest feature.

2. Who is entitled to the cooling-off right?
 

First-time investors into any Eastspring Investments Berhad fund via the ShopeePay platform would have cooling-off rights in respect of their top up into Money+. An investment into any other fund managed by other fund managers via ShopeePay Invest does not affect your cooling-off rights in respect of this fund.
 
However, the cooling-off right does not apply to the following individuals:

  • Staff members of the fund manager (Eastspring Investments Berhad) or the distributor, iFAST.
  • Persons registered with a body approved by the Securities Commission Malaysia to deal in unit trusts. 
 
3. How do I submit my cooling-off request?
 

To exercise your cooling-off rights, you would first need to contact Shopee Customer Service via chat to retrieve the cooling-off form. 


Step 1: Go to the Me page

Step 2: Tap on Help Center

Step 3: Scroll down and select Chat

Step 4: Choose Chat with Agent

Step 5: Select your preferred language

Step 6: Request the Cooling-Off Form and your Investment Account ID from the customer service agent

Step 7: Complete the form and send it back to the live agent in the chat. Our team will assist in forwarding your request to iFAST for processing.

If you have made any withdrawals or additional top ups, you will no longer be eligible for the cooling-off right.

 

4. When can I get my refund upon submission of the cooling-off request?

 

We will refund the initial investment amount, including sale charge if any, to you within seven (7) business days from the date we receive the refund monies from iFAST.

 

5. Is the cooling-off right applicable to subsequent Top ups?

 

No, the cooling-off right is only applicable to your first Top up into Money+.

 

6. I have existing unit trust accounts set up through Eastspring Malaysia’s unit trust scheme consultant(s), but I am investing in Eastspring Investments Islamic E-Duit Fund for the first time via Money+. Is the cooling-off right applicable to me?
