[ShopeePay] How do I verify my ShopeePay account?

Steps to verify your ShopeePay Account

 
Step 1: Open the ShopeePay homepage > Tap on the Me tab 
Step 2: Select Account and Security
Step 3: Tap Identity Verification and follow the instructions 
Step 4: Your identity has been verified

Fill in the required details as they appear on your Identity Card (IC).

 

⚠️Note:

  • Provide clear images of your identification document and your face to expedite the verification process.
  • If your IC is damaged, you can submit alternative documents like your driver's license. Shopee will decide whether to approve additional documents.
  • Verification via the app may take up to 24 hours.
  • You will receive a notification in your Shopee App once verification is completed.
  • If rejected, follow the notification instructions to resubmit.

*Starting 20 January 2026, all users who have completed e-KYC (account verification), including users who completed e-KYC prior to that date, will have a RM30,000 wallet limit. 


⚠️Important Notes:

 

  • Existing Basic users may continue to enjoy ShopeePay without completing e-KYC, or may upgrade to RM30,000 by completing eKYC.

  • Existing Premium users may continue at the RM4,999 wallet limit, or may upgrade to RM30,000 by completing e-KYC.

  • By verifying your ShopeePay account, you can fully leverage the platform’s capabilities and enjoy a seamless, secure, and enhanced digital payment experience. 

  • Users with older mobile device operating systems may be unable to perform the latest e-KYC process and may be limited to the lower wallet limit. To access full benefits, please ensure your apps are updated to the minimum required versions (Shopee: 6.69.4; ShopeePay: 2.41.0).
