To keep your Shopee account secure, always ensure that your phone number and email address are up to date. Shopee uses these contact details to send important notifications and verification messages.
Why Is This Important?
Shopee may send you crucial updates via SMS or email, including:
🔹 Security Codes & Verification
One-Time Password (OTP), verification codes, or authentication links for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) when logging in, adding a bank account, or changing your password.
🔹 Login Alerts
Notifications about any unrecognized login attempts.
Updating your phone number and email helps protect you from fraud risks, such as unauthorized logins if your old phone number gets reassigned to someone else.
How to Update Your Contact Details
You can easily update your phone number and email on the Shopee app:
1️⃣ Go to the Me tab
2️⃣ Tap the ⚙ icon (Account Settings)
3️⃣ Select Account & Security
4️⃣ Edit your phone number and email address
