Credit Card Instalment Plan Terms and Conditions

Effective from 23 November 2022, Sellers will be charged a revised Credit Card Instalment Transaction Fee according to different tenures.


1. Credit Card Instalment Plan (“CCI Plan”) is an alternative payment method offered to Buyers on the Shopee platform which is facilitated by Shopee and selected acquiring banks in Malaysia.


2. As a Seller, your continuous participation in the CCI Plan signifies your acceptance and acknowledgment of the terms and conditions set out here. You may toggle off anytime on Seller Centre or Shopee App.


3. Your participation is further subject to terms and conditions set out in Shopee’s Terms of Service and other related policies found at this link. Capitalised terms unless defined herein shall have the meaning set out in Shopee’s Terms of Service.


4.     The CCI Transaction Fees are subject to 8% Sales & Service Tax (SST).


5. All CCI Transaction Fees payable by you under the CCI Plan will be affected by setting off against funds/sales proceeds in your Seller Wallet. Shopee may at its option withhold all outstanding monies payable to your Seller Wallet, or issue you an invoice for payment, and you shall pay such invoiced amounts to Shopee within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of invoice.


6. The CCI Transaction Fee charged under the CCI Plan are not interest charged by Shopee.


7. Shopee may, at its sole discretion, suspend, delay or discontinue the CCI Plan for any reason and at any point of time as it deems fit, or revise these terms and conditions from time to time.


8. For the avoidance of doubt, opting out of this CCI Plan (howsoever occasioned) shall not affect (i) any rights, remedies, obligations or liabilities of the parties that have accrued up to the date of termination, including the right to claim damages in respect of any breach of the agreement which existed at or before the date of termination, or (ii) the continuance in force of any provision hereof which is expressly or by implication intended to come into or continue in force on or after such termination.


9. These terms and conditions are governed under the laws of Malaysia. Unless otherwise required by applicable laws, any dispute, controversy, claim or difference of any kind whatsoever arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions against or relating to Shopee, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Malaysia at the Asian International Arbitration Centre in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Asian International Arbitration Centre for the time being in force. There will be one (1) arbitrator and the language of the arbitration shall be English.
