1) How do I purchase Movie tickets through Shopee? Can I still make a purchase if I do not have sufficient balance in my ShopeePay?


Simply follow the steps to choose your movie ticket until the checkout point, and select your preferred payment method. Please ensure you have sufficient balance in your ShopeePay wallet to complete the purchase of your movie ticket, or select another available payment method.

 

2) How many maximum tickets can I purchase through Shopee?

The maximum number of tickets per transaction is 12. If you wish to purchase more than 12 tickets, kindly purchase them in multiple batches.

 

3) Is there any additional charge for purchasing ticket(s) through Shopee?

Yes, all ticket prices on Movies will be subject to an additional booking fee determined by our provider. Booking fees may vary according to different cinemas and their terms & conditions.

 

4) What should I do if my ticket order has failed during payment/after checkout?

You can check your ShopeePay wallet or bank balance. If no deductions were made, you may proceed to repurchase the movie ticket.

 

5) What should I do if my ticket order is stuck in "To Receive" status?

In most cases, users will receive the booking confirmation and movie ticket (PDF file) by email within 30 minutes after payment. If the status remains "To Receive" for longer than 30 minutes, please get in touch with our customer support agents through your booking by clicking on "Chat with us."

If you're contacting us regarding an existing booking, please include the following information in your inquiry to help us resolve your problem more quickly:

  1. Your full name (as stated on your booking)
  2. Your active email address
  3. Your booking Order ID (which looks like: 26675XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
  4. The details of your request.

 

7) I would like to dispute on Cinema charges made through Movie on my Shopee account. What should I do?

Please reach out to our Shopee Customer Support by raising an inquiry in the Help Centre. A Customer Support officer will get back to you soon (Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm excluding Public Holidays).

 

8) Can I use vouchers or passes through Movie?

Only Shopee vouchers and coins will be accepted and redeemable at checkout. For redemption of Cinema-generated vouchers or passes, please proceed to the original cinema's portals.

 

9) Can I use Shopee Voucher or Shopee coins to redeem?

Yes, you can use your voucher and spend Shopee coins at checkout. However, you will not earn Shopee Coins for purchasing Movie tickets.

 

10) During the seat selection on Movie, why can't I leave an empty seat in between?

Following Cinemas online booking policies, leaving 1 empty seat in between reserved seats is not allowed. You may however leave 2 seats empty between reserved seats.

 

11) Will I still receive a booking confirmation receipt/email for purchases made on Movie?

Yes. The booking confirmation and receipt email will be sent to your registered email directly from Shopee. Please allow up to 15 minutes for the notification to be delivered. If you have not received any information after this time period, you may reach out to our Shopee Customer Support by raising an inquiry in the Help Centre.

 

12) What should I do if I realized that I purchased the wrong ticket(s) after the payment process has been completed?

All purchases made on Movie tickets are confirmed purchases, and any request for refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will not be entertained. Therefore, we strongly recommend that users ensure all details of their purchase are correct before making payment.

 

13) If I am not able to attend a movie that I purchased through Shopee, will my transaction be charged and can I request a refund?

Once the online ticket purchase payment process is successfully completed, the payment will be deducted from your selected payment method (Online Banking, Credit/Debit Card, and ShopeePay), and no refunds are allowed.

 

14) After purchasing my ticket(s) online, where & when can I collect the ticket(s)?

You would have received a QR Code and transaction ID, which you can access under My Orders by going to Prepaid, Bills & Tickets > Orders. You may scan the QR code immediately at cinema checkpoints that support the feature. Alternatively, you may also collect your movie ticket(s) from the cinema counter by providing the cinema staff with your transaction ID.

 

15) What are the other Terms & Conditions for specific hall types (eg: 4DX, IMAX, Aurum Theatre, etc.)?

Kindly refer to the specific cinemas directly for each of their own terms & conditions. You may do so by visiting the cinema's dedicated website.
