[ShopeePay] ShopeePay Wallet Profile Info Update

ShopeePay recently contacted you to let you know that to comply with regulatory requirements in Malaysia and help keep your account safe, ShopeePay will need you to update and confirm the details that ShopeePay holds about you. ShopeePay will contact you via email to request for your latest profile information through a secured webform provided.

This exercise may require you to upload copies of your latest ID Document or provide extra information about how you fund and use your ShopeePay.

 

1. What is the webform about and why is this webform needed?

The webform serves for ShopeePay to obtain the latest profile information from our users as part of regulatory requirements as well as part of our effort to serve you better.

 

2. What if I do not have an email address attached to my Shopee account?

Please fill out the webform through this link: ShopeePay Wallet Verification. Subsequently, please update your email address in your Shopee account. You may do so by following the below steps on your Shopee app:

i. Go to the “Me” page and click on “Account Settings

ii. Click on “Account & Security

iii. Click on “Email

iv. Update your latest email address

 

3. How does this exercise impact my ShopeePay Wallet?

You can still use your ShopeePay wallet as usual even if there are changes to your profile, there will be no change to the existing wallet features that are available to you. However, subject to regulatory requirements, ShopeePay may request for further information from you (where required) and may take necessary actions on the wallet (such as downgrade to Basic Wallet, suspension or termination), if Shopeepay fails to obtain the necessary information from you within the mentioned time frame.

 

4. Is this a legitimate inquiry from ShopeePay & Shopee?

Yes, this is a legitimate inquiry from ShopeePay and/or Shopee. Kindly be informed that we will only use a valid email address for our inquiry and please be wary of other requests from other email addresses.
