Verifying your phone number is a crucial step to ensure the security of your account and to enable access to additional features and services.
To help you with this process, we issue two types of notifications: Soft Reminders and Hard Reminders. These notifications will guide you through verifying your phone number to ensure continued access to all the features on Shopee.
Soft Reminder
A banner notification will appear on the Me tab of your Shopee account in which you can choose to either keep and verify your current phone number or change your mobile number to a new phone for proper verification.
Follow the steps below to verify or change your mobile phone number:
To Keep Your Current Mobile Number
Step 1: Click on Keep Number
Step 2: Click on Send to Whatsapp or Other Methods to receive the verification via Call or SMS
Step 3: Enter the Verification Code
To Change Your Phone Number
Step 1: Click on Change Number
Step 2: Click on Verify by Password and Enter your Password to confirm your identity
Step 3: Enter your New Phone Number
Step 4: Click Next and follow the steps above to Verify your new phone number
Hard Reminder
A pop-up notification will appear when you log in to your Shopee account, prompting you to verify your phone number. Similar to the soft reminder, you will see options to Keep Number or Change Number for easy action.
Follow the same steps as shown above to verify your phone number to ensure the safety and security of your account.
⚠️ Note:
- Please know that the hard reminder will not prevent you from making orders or browsing through Shopee however the pop-up notification will appear every time you open the app.
