1. What are the wallet-holding limits for different account tiers?

*Starting 20 January 2026, all users who have completed e-KYC (account verification), including users who completed e-KYC prior to that date, will have a RM30,000 wallet limit. 

 

**An account that does not meet the industry screening requirement will be classified under the restricted wallet category, with a wallet limit of RM200 or RM500, depending on the applicable screening result.

 

⚠️ Note: 

  • Existing Basic users may continue to enjoy ShopeePay without completing e-KYC.

  • Existing Premium users may continue at the RM4,999 wallet limit, 

  • Existing Basic and Premium users may upgrade to an RM30,000 wallet limit by completing e-KYC.

 

2. How can I increase my wallet limit?

 

To increase your wallet limit to RM30,000, please ensure that you have verified your identity through our e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) process. 

 

Follow these steps to complete eKYC:

 
Step 1: Open the ShopeePay homepage > Tap on the Me tab 
Step 2: Select Account and Security
Step 3: 
Tap Identity Verification and follow the instructions 
Step 4: Your identity has been verified

Restricted Wallet users are not allowed to perform DuitNow transfers, P2P transfers, account linking, or subscription transactions. Existing subscriptions will also fail.
