The cooling-off period will be imposed starting from 31 December 2024 when any one of the following actions are performed:
- ShopeePay account is activated for the first time
- A new device is used to login to the ShopeePay account
Several services will be impacted during the cooling-off period as follows:

· Top up of ShopeePay wallet via FPX, Giro, Credit Cards, or Debit Cards · Receive P2P funds · Perform payments up to a cumulative limit of RM250 (for both online and offline merchants), including checking out using ShopeePay on Shopee | · Transfer of funds out of the ShopeePay wallet. These include:
· DuitNow QR · DuitNow Transfer (via mobile number, account number, NRIC, and Army/ Police ID) · ShopeePay Ang Bao · Withdrawal of funds to bank account |
The cooling-off period is introduced to prevent unauthorized transactions from taking place by providing a buffer period during which suspicious activities can be flagged. The cooling-off period will last for 12 hours from the time it is triggered.
