During the cooling-off period, you will be able to perform payments with a cumulative total of up to RM250 for the whole period.
2. What kind of transactions can I perform during the cooling-off period?
These are the transactions that can and cannot be performed during this period: Transactions that can be performed | Transactions that cannot be performed |
- Top up of ShopeePay wallet via FPX, Giro, Credit Cards, or Debit Cards
- Perform payments up to a cumulative limit of RM250 (for both online and offline merchants), including checking out using ShopeePay on Shopee
| - ·Transfer of funds out of the ShopeePay wallet. These include:
- DuitNow QR
- DuitNow Transfer (via mobile number, account number, NRIC, and Army/ Police ID)
- ShopeePay Ang Bao
- Withdrawal of funds to bank account

3. How long is the cooling-off period?
The cooling-off period will last 12 hours from the time it is triggered.
4. What triggers the cooling-off period?
The cooling-off period will be triggered when one of the following actions are performed:
- ShopeePay account is activated for the first time
- A new device is used to login to the ShopeePay account
5. What happens if I try to perform a transaction during the cooling-off period?
You will be able to perform a transaction during the cooling-off period, however, you will have a capped cumulative limit of up to RM250.
6. Is there anything I can do to shorten my cooling-off period?
No, the 12-hour cooling-off period is a mandatory requirement if any of the actions triggering it are performed without any exceptions for security purposes.
7. During the cooling-off period can I activate the Kill Switch?
