[ShopeePay] Discontinuation of the DuitNow Transfer service via ID Type FAQ
Please be aware that the discontinuation of the DuitNow Transfer service via ID Type (Mobile Number, NRIC, etc.) on the Shopee App will be effective on the 19th of March 2025.

The following fund transfer service will no longer be available on the Shopee App:

The following fund transfer service will no longer be available on the Shopee App:
- Funds Transfer using DuitNow Transfer to bank accounts or other participating e-wallets using ID Type (Mobile Number, NRIC, etc.)
However, you can still utilise the following fund transfer services:
- Fund transfer to another ShopeePay e-wallet
- Fund transfer using DuitNow Transfer to another bank account or e-wallet using DuitNow QR
2. Why is the DuitNow Transfer service via ID Type discontinued on the Shopee App?
We will discontinue the DuitNow Transfer service via ID Type on the Shopee App to focus on enhancing our core features and providing a better user experience. Rest assured that there are no changes to the other existing features on ShopeePay, and you can still Pay, Transfer, Top Up, and Receive via other existing means on the Shopee App.
3. What is the difference between DuitNow Transfer via ID Type and DuitNow QR?
DuitNow Transfer via ID Type is a method of transferring funds by using a registered DuitNow ID Type, such as Mobile Number, Account Number, NRIC, Army/Police ID, Passport, and Business Registration Number. On the other hand, DuitNow QR is a separate method of transferring funds by scanning a pink DuitNow QR code which will continue to be offered. Find out more about the Transfer Methods.

4. When will the DuitNow Transfer service via ID Type be discontinued?
The DuitNow Transfer service via ID Type on the Shopee App will be discontinued effective 19 Mar 2025. After this date, the service will no longer be available for use.
5. Can I still use other payment methods on the Shopee App?
Yes, you can still use other payment methods available on the Shopee App such as the Scan & Pay feature via DuitNow QR or Pay using the ShopeePay QR with a merchant who accepts ShopeePay. 6. Can I still receive transfers from other users?
Yes, after the discontinuation date, you will still be able to receive DuitNow transfers on the Shopee App.

No, the discontinuation of the DuitNow Transfer service via ID Type will not affect other features or services on the Shopee App. You can still Pay, Transfer, Top Up, and Receive via other existing means on the Shopee App.
