[Overseas Transfer] Sending Funds - Receive Method by Credit into Western Union Supported E-Wallet Overseas

1. How to send money overseas with Western Union via the Credit into Western Union Supported E-Wallet method on ShopeePay? 

Please see below for the step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Click ShopeePay
Step 2: Click Overseas Transfer 
Step 3: Click Send Money 
Step 4: Select the receiving country, currency, and the recipient’s receiving method
Step 5: Enter the send amount (MYR or receiving currency) > tap Next
Step 6: Acknowledge the Anti-fraud warning 
Step 7: Fill in first name & last name in the Additional KYC page
Step 8: Verify your bank account with a one-time RM1 top-up
Step 9: Choose your payment method > tap Pay Now
Step 10: Log in with your bank account username & password (Note: Bank accounts used in this step must belong to you; joint accounts are now allowed.)
Step 11: Once verified > tap OK 
Step 12: Add a new recipient's info, or select a recipient from your past transaction
Step 13: Tick the Terms & Conditions checkbox > tap Next
Step 14: Enter your ShopeePay PIN
Step 15: Share the receipt of the transfer to your recipient 
   
2. When will the money be credited into the beneficiary's e-wallet? 

Money will be credited into the beneficiary’s e-wallet within 1 – 5 working days. 
    
3. What can I do if my beneficiary’s e-wallet did not receive the money? 

You (sender) are required to call Western Union toll-free helpline at 1800-81-3399 to check for further details. 
    
4. What can I do if the Overseas Transfer has been rejected by the beneficiary’s e-wallet?
 
You may contact the ShopeePay helpline for issues relating to Western Union Overseas Transfers via chat or call and our Customer Support agent will reach out to you shortly. You may also call Western Union's toll-free helpline at 1800-81-3399 if you face any issues relating to this matter. 
    
5. Will I receive any SMS notifications once my beneficiary has successfully received the money transfer into their e-wallet? 

No. There will not be any SMS notifications sent to the sender when the Overseas Transfer transaction is successfully credited into the beneficiary’s e-wallet. Alternatively, you can check the status of the Overseas Transfer transaction under Transaction History via the Shopee App.
