1. How do I sell funds? 

You may sell an existing investment by following the steps below:

Step 1: Go to Me page > My Wallet > Select ShopeePay

Step 2: Select ShopeePay Invest

Step 3: From the Holding page, select the fund to sell

Step 4: Select Sell

Step 5: Enter the units to sell > Select ShopeePay Wallet / Bank account to be credited > Tick off the T&C box > Click Sell

Step 6: Enter your 6-digit PIN

Step 7: Transaction is being processed

 

Note: You are not allowed to sell funds you do not currently own.

 

 

2. What are the accepted channels for me to sell my investments to?

When you sell your investments, you may choose from one of the following as the destination of your sale proceeds:
  • ShopeePay e-Wallet
  • Bank Account (Only Bank Accounts belonging to you, joint-name accounts will be rejected)
 
Note: Every Sell transaction must be credited into the selected destination in full and not partially. 
 
 
3. How long does it take for me to get paid?

Proceeds from selling your investment units are expected to be received in the selected destination (ShopeePay or Bank Account) within seven (7) Business Days (T+7) of placing an instruction to sell. Once the payout is completed, you will be able to view a record of it by checking your transaction history.


 
4. How will I know if the payout has been successful?

You will receive a notification that a successful payout transaction was made.

 
5. How do I know what price I am selling at?

Funds typically use forward or historic pricing to calculate the per-unit price for orders. A fund’s pricing basis is determined by the asset management company and set out in the fund’s prospectus.
 
For funds that use forward pricing, the per-unit price for the order will only be known after the order is placed, typically one or two business days later. The actual per-unit price will be notified to you once the order is completed.
 
For funds that use historic pricing, the per-unit price will be known at the time of the transaction and set out on the fund details page. 

 
6. Why does my transaction status say “Pending” after confirming to sell my investment?

Transactions submitted through the platform will require time to be confirmed and completed.
 
If transactions are made by 2:00 p.m. on a Business Day, the transaction will be processed on the same day, with the applicable NAV per unit for that Business Day used for the transaction.
 
If transactions are made after 2:00 p.m. on a Business Day, the transaction will be processed the following Business Day, with the applicable NAV per unit for the next Business Day used for the transaction.
 
Proceeds from selling your investment units are expected to be received in the selected destination (ShopeePay or Bank Account) within seven (7) Business Days (T+7) of placing an instruction to sell. Once the payout is completed, you will be able to view a record of it by checking your transaction history. 


 
7. Is there a minimum sell amount?

Please refer to the Prospectus of the individual funds, as all funds have a different minimum sell amount. However, if you choose to sell all your unit holdings in any single fund, there is no minimum sell amount. 

 
8. Where can I view my transaction status?

You can view your transaction status by navigating Holdings > Transaction Details.
 
Under Transaction Details, you may filter by (i) Buy, (ii) Sell, (iii) Switch, (iv) Income Distribution

Step 1: Go to Me page > My Wallet > Select ShopeePay

Step 2: Select ShopeePay Invest

Step 3: From the Holding page, select Transaction Details

Step 4: You can check your transaction details by filtering through Buy, Sell, and Switch


 
9. Why was my Sell transaction unsuccessful?

Your payout was unsuccessful, potentially due to:

  1. eWallet - Insufficient ShopeePay wallet limit, crediting payout amount might breach the wallet limit

  2. Bank Account - (i) Rejection by selected bank or (ii) Bank account does not belong to you


If the above is encountered, please follow the following steps to re-attempt the payout:

Step 1: Go to your Holding Page > Select the fund to sell

Step 2: Click Sell

Step 3: Enter the units to sell > Select where to Credit To > Tick off the T&C box > Click Sell  

Step 4: Enter your 6-digit PIN

Step 5: Sell details shown Payment Processing

Step 6: Sell details turned into Payment Failed

Step 7: Tap Transfer to Other Channels > Choose your own Bank Account instead. You may select a different Bank Account by selecting the “>” button. 

Step 8: Select a verified Bank Account, or Add New Bank Account 

Step 9: Enter your 6-digit PIN

Step 10: Payment will be processed 

 

10. Can I undo my Sell transaction?

All transactions performed on your ShopeePay Invest account are irreversible. Please exercise caution and invest decisively. 
 
11. Are the proceeds from the redemption of investments considered “Transferable Balance”? 

Yes. When you redeem your investment holdings and choose to have the proceeds credited to your ShopeePay eWallet, the redemption proceeds are considered part of your “Transferable Balance. "
