1. What are ShopeePay Invest Thematic Funds?
ShopeePay Invest introduces 4 Thematic Funds, each with a simplified identifier to help you easily understand what the fund’s main investments comprise, and choose one that matches your investment goals.
Each thematic fund is a mutual fund professionally managed by fund managers licensed by the Securities Commission (SC) in accordance with their respective prospectus and disclosures, and are distributed by iFAST Capital Sdn Bhd via the ShopeePay Invest platform.
Smart Save: Stable, lower-risk sukuk income strategy.
Asia Technology: Growth opportunities in Asia's tech supply chain.
Malaysia Income: Income-focused investing in Malaysian companies.
Artificial Intelligence: Exposure to companies powering AI infrastructure.

2. Are Thematic Funds new or existing funds?
The Thematic Funds are existing funds distributed by iFAST Capital Sdn Bhd, and 3 of them have also been available for investment on ShopeePay Invest. 1 Thematic Fund is being introduced to the ShopeePay Invest platform.

3. I'm an existing investor in one of these funds - will anything change, or must I take any actions?
If you currently hold units in any of these funds, your investment will now be presented and labelled using its new thematic fund identifier on the ShopeePay Invest platform e.g. Maybank AsiaPac ex-Japan Equity-I Fund will be referred to as “Asia Technology”. The underlying fund remains exactly the same. No action is required on your part.
4. Will my investment value be affected by this change?
No, the thematic fund identifiers do not change your total investment value, number of units, and total returns. This change only affects the fund's display identifier.
5. Will my returns continue to be calculated the same way?
Your returns, gains or losses, and portfolio performance will continue to be calculated based on the underlying fund’s net asset value (NAV) and the total number of units you hold.
6. Will fees, charges, or fund performance change?
The fees, charges, and past performance of each thematic fund remains unchanged.
The amount of fees and charges applicable for each subscription, redemption, switching and/or transferring of Fund units for each of these Thematic Funds (similar to all other Funds available on ShopeePay Invest) can be found at the “Transaction Rules” page for each Fund, as may be changed from time to time.
7. Will my fund manager or investment strategy change?
No, the thematic fund identifiers do not change the fund manager or the investment strategy. However, please note that the fund manager may change the investment strategy and modify the constituent companies of the fund in accordance with the fund’s prospectus.
8. Why do I see a different fund name in the factsheet?
The thematic fund identifier is a simplified display name or branding used within ShopeePay Invest. The factsheet and other official documents, including your account statements, will show the underlying fund’s official registered name.
9. Are these Thematic Funds recommended by ShopeePay?
The thematic funds are branding changes only, and not investment recommendations. The thematic funds are not assured to perform better than the other funds available on ShopeePay Invest.
You should assess each fund based on your own goals, risk tolerance, and the information in its prospectus and product documents before making any investment decisions.
