Why Is There a Delay in Assigning a Delivery Partner?
We understand that delays can be frustrating. Here are some common reasons why your order might not be immediately assigned to a delivery partner:

  1. High Demand: During peak hours or festive seasons, there may be limited availability of delivery partners due to increased order volumes.

  2. Traffic & Weather: Adverse weather conditions or heavy traffic can impact the assignment of riders, as they need to navigate safely. 

 

What Can You Do?
  • Automatic Cancellation: If a driver isn't found within the specified time, your order will be automatically canceled, and you’ll receive a refund.

  • Cancel Your Order:
    (a) Immediately After Placement: You have 10 seconds to cancel your order right after placing it. Once the restaurant starts preparing your order, cancellation is not recommended.

    (b) If No Driver Is Assigned: You can cancel your order by clicking the 'Cancel This Order' button on your order details page when the option is available.
      
  • Track in Real-Time: Stay updated on the rider assignment progress through real-time notifications.

 

 

Why Can’t I Cancel My Order?
  • Kitchen's Cooking: Once the restaurant starts preparing your food, cancellation is difficult because they have already invested time and ingredients.

  • Driver Assigned: If a driver has been assigned, canceling might not be possible as the driver could already be on their way, which could cause inconvenience.

How Are We Improving?
  • More Delivery Partners: We are actively onboarding more riders to minimize wait times and enhance your experience.
  • Real-Time Updates: Stay informed with timely notifications about your order status.
  • Localized Recruitment: Focus on recruiting delivery partners in areas with high demand to ensure quicker assignments.
  • Real-Time Traffic Updates: Use real-time traffic data to help delivery partners avoid congested routes and improve delivery times.


⚠️ Note:
Order cancellation is only possible if the merchant agrees to cancel the order, if the merchant has begun to prepare your order, the cancellation request will be rejected.
