Timely food delivery is important, but sometimes, unexpected situations arise that prevent a delivery partner from completing an order. Whether due to an accident, vehicle breakdown, or extreme weather, these challenges can disrupt the delivery process.

If a delivery partner requests to cancel an order, here’s what you need to know.

Why Would a Delivery Partner Request to Cancel?

A rakan penghantar may request an order cancellation due to:

  • Accidents – Unforeseen incidents occurring before or after pickup.

  • Vehicle Malfunctions – Sudden breakdowns preventing order completion.

  • Extended Delivery Distance – Route longer than expected, making it unfeasible.

  • Adverse Weather Conditions – Heavy rain, floods, or unsafe riding conditions.

What Should You Do?
If the Delivery Partner Has a Valid Reason:
✅ Contact ShopeeFood Customer Service via the in-app chat and request for cancelation.
✅ The support team will review the situation and process the cancellation if necessary.

If the Reason is Unclear:
✅ Advise the delivery partner to fill up ‘Borang Permohonan Pembatalan Pesanan’ from their end for further guidance.

What Happens If My Order is Delayed?

If a rakan penghantar informs you about a delay but has not requested cancellation, you may choose to:

  • Wait for the order if you’re still willing to receive it.
