1. Where can I check my road tax renewal status online and access my road tax?
You may check your road tax renewal status via the MyJPJ app. The MyJPJ app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store.
(a) After installing the application on your mobile device, sign up for a new account by clicking on the “Register New Account” button.
(b) Next, complete the form given by entering your personal details and creating a password.
(c) After setting up your account, you can log in using your registered ID and password on the homepage of the app.
(d) To access your digital road tax, simply click on the ‘Profile’ icon at the bottom of the page
(e) Select the “Roadtax” tab to view the digital copy of your road tax.
2. Can I renew my car insurance/takaful only without road tax?
Yes, you can renew your car insurance/takaful only. However, you will not be able to renew your road tax via Shopee platform after renewing your car insurance/takaful.
3. Can I renew my road tax only?
No, you can only renew your road tax with your car insurance/takaful.
4. Can I renew my road tax outside of Shopee after successful payment for the car insurance on Shopee?
You can only renew their road tax when the JPJ signal is successful and your policy is successfully underwritten. In the case of a failed JPJ signal, the insurer will cancel your cover note and we will proceed with a refund.
5. Can I renew my road tax if I have a pending summon?
Yes, you can still renew your road tax but we would suggest clearing your summon(s) before being blacklisted.
6. Can I renew my road tax if I have a blacklisted summon?
No, you will not be able to renew your road tax until you have cleared all blacklisted summon(s).
7. Can I renew my road tax if I am a private hire driver?
No, you will not be able to renew your road tax via the Shopee platform. You will need to visit the JPJ office to renew your road tax.
8. What can I do if I receive the wrong road tax?
You may contact our road tax partner at +603 7491 0102 (Monday-Friday from 10am to 7pm) or email to general@myroadtax.store who will promptly re-deliver the correct road tax to you.
9. What can I do if my road tax is not renewed within 5 working days?
You may not receive your road tax on time due to the following reasons:
(a) Road Tax Blacklisted by JPJ; or
(b) Incorrect Vehicle Details

Please provide the following information to ease the process:
(a) Vehicle No.;
(b) NRIC; and
(c) Insurance/takaful Expiry Date
10. Why do I need to make a top-up payment or receive a partial refund after my purchase of the road tax payment?
Our partner might call you to request a minimal top-up payment or to provide a partial refund on the road tax as there could be a slight discrepancy between the initial payment purchase and the payment requested by JPJ.
This is solely because of the differences in road tax cost for engine capacity (CC) for your vehicle's make and model.
11. Can I cancel my road tax? And how would I go about doing it?
Cancellation and refund/return requests have to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by our road tax partner. Common reasons for cancellations are:
(a) Change of vehicle ownership; and
(b) Change of insurance/takaful type.
Please follow the following steps:
(a) Contact our road tax partner at +603 7491 0102 (Monday-Friday from 10 am to 7 pm) or email general@myroadtax.store to raise a cancellation request
(b) Our road tax partner will email you a refund form
(c) Fill in the refund form and submit it to the road tax partner for investigation
(d) Refund will be credited to your bank account (provided in the refund form) within 1-2 working days upon successful completion of the refund form
