To report a user, you can do so via Chat or the shop page. You can report users if you think they are engaging in inappropriate behaviour, such as:
1) Rude or abusive chat messages:
Example: The seller sends rude and abusive messages, requesting the buyer to destroy the item because they did not pay for it, or engages in discussions about contentious topics such as religion or politics.
2) Asking buyer to cancel order:
Example: The seller reaches out to the buyer to cancel the order.
3) Directing transactions out of Shopee platform:
Example: The seller asks the buyer to pay by direct banking into the seller's personal bank account.
4) Engaging in chat spam:
Example: The seller persistently sends the buyer messages to request a change in the rating.
5) Unauthorized listing of products:
Example: The seller is selling fake products under another's brand name without authorization.
Note: Shopee will exercise discretion in determining both the outcomes and the course of the investigation.
Select the Chat icon > select the relevant chat > more options icon > Report this user.
Go to the seller's shop page > more options icon > Report this user.
*Note: Please rest assured that your identity will remain anonymous if you choose to report a user.
